It contains a Fortis manually wound 17 jewel movement. It has a unique squared gilded finished case with a case thickness of only 7.5mm! The watch is super thin even for a manually wound movement. The brand new strap is a vintage burgundy genuine leather by Hadley Roma. Dated to the 1970s era, it is in good overall vintage condition with some wear to the case back near one of the lugs as seen in the photo. The dial is in good shape with some slight oxidation around a few of the indices and light even patina on the texted dial. The acrylic crystal is in overall good shape with no major scratches. The dial contains a horizontal line dissecting the dial in half and features a beautiful trapezoidal date window with a matching trapezoid shaped cyclops on the crystal. It is becoming harder to find these models with their original trapezoidal cyclops acrylic crystal which helps to really showcase the beautiful UG font used for their dates. In my opinion, the UG Polerouter is one of the most balanced and beautiful watches ever created. If your looking for a vintage daily driver that has a classic design, historical relevance, and offers incredible value, you can't beat this vintage UG Polerouter date.

THE WATCH

A BNIB limited edition of 150 pieces special projects Kurono Tokyo designed by world renowned watchmaker Hajime Asaoka. The Big Crown Pointer Date is my favorite watch that Oris makes in it's current catalogue and with its immense popularity and gorgeous good looks it easy to understand why. The Big Crown Pointer Date is for those who love vintage flair in their watches but are looking for modern specs. The gorgeous bronze case that will develop a unique patina overtime, the double dome crystal, cathedral handset, and special pointer date function all add to its vintage vibe. The iconic pointer date complication adds a touch of nostalgia and practicality while also being something really unique that is rarely seen in watches today. The special edition forest green dial is one of the best color variants of this model and really pairs well with the golden hues of the bronze case. The 80th Anniversary edition has been a big hit for Oris and is becoming harder to find with discounts off the MSRP. Having been sold out during it's initial offering and now on a multiple year waitlist, its a special piece sure to stand out in any collection. Finding true Enamel dials that are made by hand in house for this price point is truly special. Purchased in 2020, the watch is in mint condition showing no signs of scratching on the high polish 38mm stainless steel case. The watch has a push/pull AnOrdain signed crown with 50 meters of water resistance and a sapphire crystal with 6 layers of anti reflective coating sitting above the gorgeous dial. Out of all the dial color variants I think this blue lends itself best visually to the true art of their enamel process. The dials are made with vitreous enamel which reacts with silver producing a unique outcome giving it a crystalline and smooth pebble like appearance. When the light hits the dial you can see all the different shades of blue come out from light hues in the middle to darker indigo blue towards the perimeter giving a true fume smoky gradient effect. What's also very impressive is the visual texture that these dials bring which makes it unlike any other piece you will have in your collection. The typography on the dial is also unique to AnOrdain with it's beautiful numerical indices and original made in house handset which is thermally treated by hand. The watch is powered by a regulated ETA 2824-2 with no date modification. The watch comes with two made in Germany AnOrdain suede leather straps in Gray and Navy Blue.

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in; As one of Seiko's first water resistant watches, these SilverWave variants make for a fantastic everyday vintage wear. They come in a great modern size, are robust, beautiful dials, and offer incredible value. This special blue carbon dial variant is the rarest and as a JDM model it is becoming extremely harder to find in mint condition and with the original Actus bracelet. The way the blue dial and indices play with the light, you would think it is almost at Grand Seiko level, but for a fraction of the price. This watch will serve you well as your first vintage timepiece or if your a serious Seiko collector, this one is a must have in your collection. A rare and elegant 38mm recent release from Japan's Kurono Tokyo that showcases their craftsmanship and Hajime Asaoka's creative vision. Kurono Tokyo states this is a limited production release in the low hundreds and will not be repeated. With a refined power reserve complication at nine oclock and a beautifully detailed guilloche dial, the "Sensu NOS" features an in-house modified and discontinued NOS movement of Citizen's scarce calibers. The use of such a caliber is entirely new to Kurono Tokyo. This piece sold out within minutes, with it's standout blue dial configuration with the Kanji hour markers quickly becoming a collector's favorite.

The blue dial offers a special tribute to Japanese heritage with the Kanji hour markers, rendered in Hajime Asaoka's signature style. The dial's power reserve indicator takes inspiration from the traditional folding fan, a motif that flows into Clous de Paris patterns on the main and 24 hour subdials. There is beautiful circular guilloche graining around the seconds track and Kurono Tokyo opted for a curved dial and handset adding to it's charm. Finishing touches include a thin guilloche railway track, inset minute markers, and polished hour studs, all encased in a high polished 316L stainless steel case atop with a unique box sapphire crystal.

The watch boasts a modern 38mm case, 46.5mm lug to lug, and a water resistance of 5 ATM. The watch is powered by the rare Cal 9134PWT, a NOS Citizen Premium Automatic Caliber, which Kurono acquired in its entirety and modified in-house. Asaoka-sensei removed the date function to create a cleaner, more art focused dial, allowing the guilloche design to shine without interruption. Due to the limited availability of these NOS movements, the "Sensu NOS" is a truly exclusive release, with the caliber 9134PWT being permanently discontinued. The layered guilloche patterns, the charm of the 24-hour subdial and power reserve indicator come together beautifully, adding both elegance and character. What makes this watch even more intriguing is the NOS Premium Automatic Caliber from Citizen which is a rare movement that's been carefully regulated in-house by Kurono Tokyo. The fact that this movement has been permanently discontinued makes this piece even more special. The blue dial variant you see here has a special way of paying homage to Japanese heritage with it's Kanji hour markers in Hajime Asaoka's signature calligraphy. These characters add a layer of depth, bringing in that unmistakable touch of Japanese culture. The Kurono Tokyo logo at three oclock instead of the traditional twelve oclock is also quite a break from tradition that makes this piece even more distinctive. The World time has an inner rotating bezel when pulling the crown to the first position that features times for various cities around the world. The inner 24hr track can be used in conjunction with the cities of the world inner bezel to determine the time anywhere in the world at a glance. The watch also features a GMT hand making it easy to track another time zone. This specific model contains the rare "error bezel" that displays London time situated next to the GMT time. This was later corrected in future models and only occurred during a small number of years between 1969-1971. This white dial version accounts for only 39% of all the Seiko World times produced at that time which makes this version scarce considering the error bezel. The watch features Seiko's famous tonneau style stainless steel case with a screw down case back and flat mineral crystal. The dial is in great condition for it's age and the tritium lume on the hour markers and hands are a gorgeous mustardy color that matches and glows bright under UV. There is no cracking present in the lume and it features a nice even patina throughout the dial. When pulling the crown out to the second position, it allows for adjusting the date. Lastly, when the crown is pulled into the third position this allows for adjusting the hour, minute, and GMT hand. It features Seiko's robust and reliable 6117B automatic movement, that hacks and beats at 3Hz or 21,600 bph.

SPECS

Brand: Seiko

Reference: World Time 6117-6049

Movement: Seiko 6117B, hacking, automatic, 3hz, 21,600 bph

Year: 1971

Condition: Pre-owned

Case Material: Stainless Steel

Dial: White

Case Diameter: 41mm

Lug to Lug: 45.5mm

Case Thickness: 12.9mm

Lug Width: 20mm

Water Resistance: None

Strap: New Blushark Blue Nato

Box & Papers: No

THOUGHTS

Seiko World Time's are some of the most underrated value pieces in the vintage watch game. You get a robust and reliable Seiko automatic movement that stands the test of time with not only world time capability, but also a GMT function. This vintage piece is perfect for traveling and is also comfortable with its tonneau case design and dimensions which sit beautifully on the wrist. The Seiko World Time with the white dial is also a looker with its cool pop of color on the inner rotating bezel which really give it a 70s feel. This model has the rare white dial and unique "error bezel" that was only produced for a short period of time before Seiko corrected the London and GMT markers. These Seiko's are getting harder to find in good condition and if you've been on the hunt for one, this one was well kept and preserved. Known for its reliability and robust design, the 7750 has been used by top Swiss brands and remains a benchmark in mechanical chronographs. This watch represents an important transitional period for Hamilton, as the brand shifted from its American origins to becoming a Swiss based manufacturer under the Swatch Group. The 9941 blends sporty chronograph functionality with refined, versatile styling and comes fitted with its original, rare stainless steel bracelet. The 38mm stainless steel case is in excellent condition for its age, showing minimal signs of wear. It does appear to have been polished at some point, but still retains sharp edges and well defined lugs. The caseback is crisp, with clear visibility of the vintage Hamilton emblem. The original crown and pushers remain intact and function properly, while the mineral crystal is free of any major scratches. The glossy black dial is remarkably well preserved, with no significant patina or blemishes. It's contrasting white sub-dials tracking running seconds, minutes, and hours, are clean and vibrant. A day-date display sits at three o'clock, and the tritium lume on both the Arabic numerals and hands show no degradation under UV light. The original bracelets are also well regarded for their unusual link design and integrated styling that capture the era perfectly. The "Special" designation on the dial refers to the higher grade 28,800 bph movement inside, a true high beat caliber that set this model line apart. The JDM 5216 movements are more sought after versus the 5206 calibers due to the slightly higher quality, and the ability to hack and quick set an English and Kanji day-date. The watch is housed in a sharp, and well preserved angular stainless steel case, true to the 1970's design language, and topped with a flat mineral crystal. The highlight here is the stunning green dial with vertical striping which really pop in the light and stand out on the wrist. The dial is in fantastic original condition with little to no signs of aging. The applied indices and hands remain sharp, with the golden markers at twelve and six adding a subtle but eye catching contrast against the steel markers. The LM and Special lettering on the dial also standout in a beautiful gold tone. The the way the facets and markers play with the light on the piece, you would think it is approaching Grand Seiko like execution. The original push/pull crown is intact, and the period correct and hard to find bracelet is so cool with it's distinctly 1970's design. The bracelet also presents in excellent condition, showing minimal signs of wear and will fit wrists up to 6.5 inches. Lastly, another standout feature is the prized high-beat caliber 5216 movement, running at a smooth 28,800 bph. Overall, this piece is in excellent condition and stands as one of the best-preserved LM Specials I've come across thus far.

SPECS

Brand: Seiko

Reference: Lord Matic "Special" JDM 5216-6040

Movement: Seiko caliber 5216 automatic high-beat movement, 23 jewel, 28,800bph

Year: 1973

Condition: Pre-owned

Case Material: Stainless Steel

Dial: Green with vertical striping

Case Diameter: 36mm

Lug to Lug: 41mm

Case Thickness: 10mm

Lug Width: 11.5mm to 20mm at widest point

Crystal: Mineral

Water Resistance: N/A

Strap: Original Seiko LM Bracelet (Fits wrists up to 6.5 inch)

Box & Papers: No

THOUGHTS

The Seiko LM Special is such a cool watch, and honestly, still underrated in the vintage world in my opinion. These Japanese Domestic Market pieces are getting harder and harder to come by and especially in wonderfully preserved condition. What you get for the money is incredible with these vintage pieces. You get a high beat Seiko workhorse movement, bold 70's angular case and bracelet styling, and a striking green patterned dial, all for under $600. A watch like this produced today would easily fetch over $1,000. The Liner was the Suwa factory's line of luxury dress watches at the time, positioned just below Grand Seiko. It was also one of Seiko's shortest-lived models, only produced from 1960 to 1964, which makes these pieces unique and somewhat rare today. Inside is the 23 jewel Diashock 3140 manual-wind movement, a high grade caliber very similar to the 3180 used in the very first Grand Seiko. The watch is housed in a gold filled plated case that has help up beautifully over the years, with a well preserved finish and elegant design. The case features thin lugs and a slim bezel making this an ideal dress watch that slips under any cuff. The gold filled snap case back still shows clear Seiko Liner engraving along with the reference number. This example retains all its original parts. The silver dial looks fantastic, with no obvious patina and close to near new old stock condition. The applied hold indices still catch the light wonderfully, and the gold handset remains in excellent shape. The crown winds with a satisfying tactile feel, making the watch enjoyable to use. The original acrylic crystal does have a small chip just below the six o'clock marker, though its barely noticeable on the wrist. You can easily replace the crystal if this is of concern, but we chose to keep the original acrylic on it. The 3140 manual wind movement is running well and keeping time, though the service history is unknown. As Seiko's new luxury dress line at the time in the 60's, positioned just below Grand Seiko, the Liner speaks volumes about the level quality and craftsmanship that went into its design. For a vintage watch of this era, the case wears exceptionally well at 36mm, a generous size for the time, and is accented by its elegant lugs. Inside, the Seiko 3140 manual wind movement is not only reliable but keeps the profile of the watch very slim, making it an excellent choice for all around dress piece. Built to meet the strict MIL-W-46374 specifications, this 1983 example reflects Hamilton's long standing tradition of supplying timepieces to American forces, a legacy dating back to World War II. Lightweight, reliable, and designed for maximum clarity in any condition, this was standard issue for soldiers who needed absolute precision in the field. The 33mm sandblasted stainless steel case is in great shape for its age and keeps it rugged yet wearable. On the case back it shows the true military provenance by displaying the government markings such as part number, year, and rad waste due to it's radioactive tritium lume. The lugs on the case are fixed as they should be for this watch as it supplied an extra level of security for the soldiers to ensure the spring bars didn't fail during war. The sandblasted stainless steel case is in good condition for its age and shows just a small mark of dirt/stain on the small upper portion of the caseback and can probably be cleaned off as we decided to leave this example as is. The crown is original and has some resistance when winding and pulling it out to set the time. This resistance is most likely from years of debris around the crown and can be cleaned/oiled and it does not affect the hand setting and ability to fully wind the watch as it is keeping good time. The original acrylic crystal shows a small knick at the four o'clock marker and a barely visible one at the outer edge around two o'clock and does not impede the view of the dial. The matte black dial is in immaculate condition for its age and contains the H3 marking indicating tritium lume used on the dial and handset. Lume was used on these watches to allow for maximum legibility in low light. The lume has aged to a beautiful creamy yellow and is in great condition for its age showing even patina and no visible cracking. The dial contains 12 hour time as well as 24hr military time. The hour, minute, and second hands are also original and in good shape. The movement is a reliable workhorse Hamilton caliber 466 S.T. CO, and is running and appears to be keeping time. The service history is unknown and would recommend a service to ensure accurate timekeeping. The watch also comes on a period correct and looks to be original olive drab Nato strap and has some slight wear for its age.

SPECS

Brand: Hamilton

Reference: Hamilton Khaki Field MIL-W-46374B

Movement: Hamilton Caliber 466 S.T. The Hamilton Khaki Field MIL-W is prized for its authenticity, durability, and straightforward design that has influenced modern field watches for decades. Much like its younger sibling, the modern Hamilton Khaki Field Mechanical, this vintage model brings undeniable charm in a slightly smaller package, featuring a beautiful tritium dial and authentic military markings. Collectors value it not only for its provenance, but also for the connection it provides. Just knowing this was originally issued to an actual service member adds a level of depth you just don't find in most watches. These iconic vintage "Hammy" field watches are continually sought after as collectors value genuine military issued timepieces with an incredible history. When it comes to military authenticity, it doesn't get more real than a government issued tool built for its intended purpose in warfare. Personally, I'm especially fond of the 1980's MIL-W models as you can still find some of these in good condition, yet they carry all the heritage and history that makes them so special. This example is even more desirable due to its original olive drab Nato strap, a rare detail that completes the package. The watch was held in sea water across the entire journey across to New York and then back to France. Upon arriving back in France the was was still sealed against the elements and working. This proved to Movado their water proofing system worked and names the watch appropriately the Trans-Atlantic Sub Sea 50. The "50" stands for its depth rating (50 meters), which was impressive for a slim, elegant case in the early 1960's. This specific refence, the J13091 is known among collectors as the Mark 1. It represents the purest expression of the line before the quartz crisis shifted designs towards thinner, less substantial cases. Powered by a movement based on Universal Geneve architecture, it remains a testament to the era when Movado movements were among the finest in the world.

CONDITION REPORT

This J13091 Mark 1 example is in exceptional collector grade vintage condition, far exceeding what is typically found in these Sub Seas on the market today. The 36mm stainless steel case retains its sharp, beefy lug profile. It shows honest signs of light wear consistent with age, with the "Sub-Sea" engraving on the caseback remaining deep and legible. It looks to be unpolished but may have had a light polishing in the past. The watch features the rare and highly desirable original signed Movado crown, a component often lost to service replacement over the decades. It features an acyrlic crystal that is free of scratches and in excellent condition. The start of the watch is a stunning brushed silver dial that looks to have almost a linen texture in some lights. It is in excellent condition and unlike many examples from this era, the dial is remarkably clean, and free of heavy patina or discoloring. There is only a faint freckle of oxidation on the dial just below the hour and minute hand, but barely visible unless under a loupe. The dial features an applied Movado logo and retains strong Movado Trans-Atlantic and Sub Sea 50 printing in black with no fading. The Switzerland logo is present and strong at the bottom of the dial just below the six o'clock marker. The stick indices are gorgeous and reflect the light beautifully along with the brushed silver dial. The watch houses an in-house manual wind caliber 347 with smooth winding and keeping excellent vintage time. The movement is 17 jewels and beats at 18,000 vph. The caliber 347 is based on a similar movement by Universal Geneve. The watch comes on a honey brown handmade leather strap by Handdn.

SPECS

Brand: Movado

Model/Reference: Trans-Atlantic Sub Sea 50 Ref J13091 'Mark 1"

Movement: Caliber 347, manual wind

Yea: 1965

Condition: Pre-owned

Case Material: Stainless Steel

Dial: Brushed Silver

Case Diameter: 36mm

Lug to Lug: 42.5mm

Case Thickness: 9.1mm

Lug Width: 19mm

Crystal: Acrylic

Water Resistance: N/A

Strap: Honey Brown handmade leather by Handdn

Box & Papers: No

THOUGHTS

The Trans-Atlantic Sub Sea is one of the most underrated vintage pieces around and a sleeper from on of the greats in the industry. It wears like a dream at 36mm and is remarkably similar on the wrist to a Universal Geneve Polerouter. The Sub Sea is incredible value for money and makes a fantastic alternative, and more unique in my opinion, to a vintage Omega Seamaster or Universal Geneve Polerouter. There is a specific joy in finding a time capsule watch, and this Sub Sea 50 is exactly that. What I love most about this piece is how well it wears on the wrist for its larger 36mm size and due to its substantial lug design. When you catch the light on the vertical brushing of the silver dial, you realize why vintage Movado is currently one of the most undervalue segments on the market. This is a collector grade example that offers the heritage, style, and legendary movement for an insane value. It is quite simply the best version of this watch I have seen in recent years and one that I would have been happy to add to my collection if I didn't already have too many dress/sport watches.

THE WATCH

In the early 1970's, as surf culture took the West Coast by storm, Seiko delivered a colorful, reliable companion for those living just beyond the California coastline. Nicknamed the "Blue Crush," the reference 6106-8237 is a vintage sleep that remains one of the best cobalt blue dials in the game. Produced for a relatively short window between 1969 and 1972, this 70-meter automatic sport diver was originally marketed towards the water sports scene, built to be rugged enough for the waves, yet striking enough for the boardwalk and everyday wear. Today, it stands as a timeless "West Coast" classic that captures the energy and style of Seiko's golden 70's era.

CONDITION REPORT

This example is in exceptional rare condition with a flawless dial and strong case lines. The heart of this piece is its bright cobalt blue lacquered sunburst dial, which is virtually flawless. The cobalt blue is reminiscent of the deep ocean waves of the pacific with the way the light hits the sunburst effect. It dial retains its vibrant depth without the typical fading or ghosting often found in this reference. The Seiko automatic and "Water 70 Resist" printing remains strong. The dial contains a weekday and date function with a four o'clock push pull crown. The large luminous square markers are original and showing almost no visible aging and retains its white/light cream color. Typically, these Blue Crush's usually have significant aging and signs of wear with the lume in the hour markers turning a darker greyish/green, however this one is in like new exceptional condition. The polished baton hands remain bright and free of oxidation, complemented by a original and fantastic condition bright orange sweeping seconds hand that is color loss, fading, or chipping. The seconds hand on many used models typically change to a yellowish color. The 39mm stainless steel barrel shaped tonneau case is in excellent condition. It's wide beveled bezel retains its original geometry. The case looks to be unpolished and contains normal faint scratches typical for its age and use. The famous high domed mineral crystal for this watch helps give the dial its distorted cool effect and this one is fitted with a brand new period correct crystal. The crystal adds to the vintage flair and really amplifies the cobalt blue dial. The hacking Seiko caliber 6106 automatic is running strong and keeping great time. The watch contains a quickset weekday and date. The "Blue Crush" is just undeniably cool because its a piece of 1970's surf culture and has one of the best cobalt blue dials in the game. Seriously, the dial on this one in the sun is absolutely stunning and will get compliments and have you staring down at your wrist alot. The mixture of the bright blue dial, pop of orange on the seconds hand, beautiful high dome crystal, and reliable automatic Seiko caliber, you cannot go wrong with this one. Since these watches were used in sport and water, usually the cobalt sunburst dials showed significant signs of aging or water intrusion with dial rot. This one however, is in exceptional condition and is still absolutely electric. It is that deep, liquid blue one the dial that you only get from old school lacquer. Take this thing out in the sun where it belongs and you will be in awe. This is truly one of Seiko's best vintage sport watch sleepers and offers incredible value. It wears incredibly well with its modern 39mm tonneau case.
